Ardour Chapter 52 (Vol 11)

This is for all the Ardour fans. This chappie is from Vol 11 chapter 52. The title of this chapter: Whatever you want...

The story contiues from chapter 51...

After You Yi leaves Shen Ye's apartment, Zi Ying tells Shen Ye that a girl came and passed this to him. Zi Ying thinks the girl looked unhappy to see her which makes her wander whether she is Shen Ye's girlfriend and that she has misunderstood her relationship with Shen Ye. Shen Ye is shocked to hear that and immediately calls You Yi to explain. You Yi is relieved to know that it was a misunderstanding. However...

...in tears, You Yi requests to break up with Shen Ye as she is worried that when she is overseas studying, he may feel neglected and stray from the relationship. You Yi has no confidence that Shen Ye will remain faithful. Without explaining her real feelings to Shen Ye, You Yi hangs up the phone after breaking up with him...

Shen Ye goes to You Yi school to look for her after failing to locate her at her home (You Yi moved to her mom's place to hide from Shen Ye). However, Shen Ye is unable to meet You Yi in school as she is hiding again. In anger, Shen Ye tells her classmate to let You Yi know that he refuse to accept her decision.

Ah Yao calls You Yi and asks to meet her. He congratulates her for getting the scholarship to go overseas for her study. Ah Yao takes the opportunity to ask You Yi to explain her decision for leaving Shen Ye. You Yi tells Ah Yao that she is not confident that the relationship will survive the separation. This is especially after seeing Zi Ying at Shen Ye's place. Although now, she knows there is nothing going on between them but that image woke her up to the reality that they will be separated and Shen Ye may be attracted to someone else...

At that moment, Shen Ye, who is hiding in one corner appears. He tells You Yi that if not for Ah Yao, You Yi will not confide this truth to him... He asks You Yi that even if he promises and assures her that he will be faithful to her, will he be able to assure her of her doubts. You Yi remains quiet. Sadly, Shen Ye tells You Yi he will not make things difficult for her and leaves. Ah Yao is shocked at the turn of events...

At home, You Yi asks her mom how she maintains her long distance relationship with dad. Mum replies that both party must want to maintain the relationship. You Yi realises that after breaking up from Shen Ye, she misses him very much. Also, the breakup does not make her more at ease, on the contrary, she is worse. At that moment, Shen Ye calls You Yi...

He tells her to walk towards the city square where she will see a big screen. Ardour's new mtv is ready... Shen Ye's new song is being broadcast. As You Yi listens to the music, she realises that Shen Ye is singing that he will give her everything she wants...

Shen Ye asks her whether she likes his song. You Yi tells Shen Ye over the phone that it is not true that he gives her everything she wants. At that moment, Shen Ye appears in front of You Yi... still talking to her over the phone, he tells her that she wants to break up and he gives in even though it is not what he wants... they hug...

You Yi is still worried that their relationship will be strained with them being apart. Shen Ye assures her that he will not wait for her. Instead, he will go to France to be with her!

That summarises Chapter 52. : ))) Nice chapter. Rather romantic.

Ardour Chapter 51 (Vol 11)

This chapter is about recognition. You Yi wants her mom's recognition of her talent as a fashion designer.

You Yi remembers that as she was growing up, no matter how hard she tried to get her mom's approval, mom did not even look at the drawings she did. She wonders why mom doesn't tell her she is not cut out to be a fashion designer. Sheng Ye tries to calm her...

Wow... that is certainly a good way to distract, ermm... calm You Yi.

Feeling overwhelmed, You Yi pushes Sheng Ye away. Sheng Ye explains that he is trying to comfort her. ~~~~~ : )

Sheng Ye: " Did you learn fashion designing to get your mom's approval?"

You Yi: " No. I love fashion designing."

Sheng Ye reminds You Yi that fashion designing can be subjective. Not everyone will like her designs but that does not mean she is not cut out to be a designer. Touched, You Yi hugs Sheng Ye.

Sheng Ye: "You want me to kiss you again?"

You Yi: "No! I just want a hug."

Sheng Ye sighs as he realises he will not get to kiss You Yi. You Yi is puzzled by his behaviour. ~~~ she is so clueless...

Wei asks Sheng Ye whether he realises that if You Yi wins the fashion design competition, she will be going overseas to study and they will be separated.

Sheng Ye: "This is something that will happen eventually..."

Zi Ying, the lyricist, enters the scene and complains that Sheng Ye lacks feelings when he sang one of the song she has written...

The next few pages details out the competitiveness of the fashion industry. One of You Yi's strengths is that she is not bound by her drawings and can adapt when needed. Her classmate and competitor notes the strength.


You Yi is so busy preparing for the competition she has not seen Sheng Ye for almost half a month.
Ah Yao sees the closeness between Sheng Ye and Zi Ying, the lyricist, thinks Sheng Ye is attracted to her. Adding to the confusion, Sheng Ye expresses that Zi Ying reminds him of an older version of You Yi.

On the day of the fashion design competition, You Yi wows the judges with her designs...

You Yi's mom acknowledges her talents. She expresses that her decision to distance herself from You Yi is right. She worries that You Yi will be influenced by her and not be able to establish herself in the fashion industry. You Yi tears as she realises that her mother has never shown her approval not because she thinks You Yi is not suitable to be a fashion designer but that she does not want to exert her influence on You Yi.

Both You Yi and her classmate are selected. You Yi is reminded that she will be separated from Sheng Ye.

You Yi heads towards Sheng Ye's place to look for him. At his place, Zi Ying opens the door. Shocked, You Yi hands her gift to Sheng Ye to her and leaves his apartment...

Ardour

Bought the whole series today. 12 volumes altogether. (Click Ardour icon for summary) Although the style of drawings is not my type but the story line is funny and interesting. Having said that, I found the first few volumes rather disorganised at certain juncture.

Albeit, the male lead, Shen Ye, is interesting. Seemingly uncaring and cool (but actually kind and sweet). In fact, the other characters grow on me. The love story is sweet too. I have a soft spot for men who r focused.

Those with the means may want to support the series.

You yi was told (by her father) to be the assistant of the band group, Ardour. Ardour, the current hottest band, consists of 3 great looking guys (I have to use my imagination course the drawings are not so convincing). The story tells of how You yi works with the seemingly uncaring men and to each, she became indispensable, especially to Shen Ye. Shen Ye was from an important and rich Japanese family. His family was dysfunctional. Grandma, is this cold, iron lady who forces her decisions on everyone. His parents were separated due to this. Shen Ye was brought up in such an environment. To him, You yi's loving and giving nature is a breath of fresh air. The rest of the volumes detailed out their relationship and further developments of the characters.

I like Shen Ye and You yi's love story. As the story develops, she realises that his love for her is serious and unwavering (>__<). Sigh... will read it slowly to savour the sweetness.

Highly recommend this to anyone who loves a sweet love story.
