Coming to the end of the semester and Nanami is fretting about studying for her exams. Tomoe chides her for not doing her work as a shrine god as well as not studying. Nanami laments that she cannot fulfill her duty and role as a shrine god...

Kurama enters the scene surrounded by adoring female students. Kurama picks a fight with Tomoe. (Both are fighting over whether Nanami hates the other).

Nanami wonders why the two of them (both are kindred monsters), being of the same, cannot get along. Suddenly, Nanami notices two female students hiding and staring at the bickering pair. One of them is Ah Mei whom Kurama rescued from being attacked by an evil spirit. Ah Mei tells Nanami that she has not spoken to Kurama since he rescued her and she is hoping to thank Kurama personally for his kind deeds to her.

Nanami looks upon Ah Mei as a girl who needed to be taken care of. She takes it upon herself to help Ah Mei and Kurama to meet. Ah Mei asks whether Nanami is a powerful priestess who has the ability to chase away evil spirit. Nanami thinks to herself that granting people's wishes is something she can do.

Nanami pastes a talisman that will make Kurama invisible to people around him. Kurama is shocked that the female population ignore him. Nanami orders him to go to the chemistry lab. Feeling despondent, he heeds Nanami's directions and heads towards the chemistry lab to wait.

At the Lab, Ah Mei meets Kurama and thank him for saving her. In response, Kurama asks for her name!

... embarassed that Kurama doesn't remember her, Ah Mei tries to run away. Unfortunately, she slips and falls. Her underwear is exposed. A group of male students walk past and laugh at her misfortune. Kurama tells them off for being childish and addresses Ah Mei by her name...

Meanwhile, at the rooftop, Nanami witness the happenings. Tomoe chides her for getting Ah Mei (a human) involve with Kurama (a monster).

Nanami wonders whether Tomoe has suffered rejections by his love interest in the past. Tomoe tells Nanami to concentrate in her studies instead. Nanami tells Tomoe that monsters and human beings should get along too. She tells him she believes that there's a human being who wants to befriend Tomoe.

Tomoe replies that he doesn't see the need to get along with anyone and that his duty is to protect and take care of her. Nanami blushes upon hearing his comment.

A female student approach Nanami and confesses that she is in love with Tomoe. She wants to know whether Nanami is going out with Tomoe. Nanami denies. The female student laments that Nanami and Tomoe go home together everyday. She asks Nanami to give her the opportunity to do so with Tomoe.

Nanami agrees but realises that she's not too happy...

Tomoe rejects going home with the female student. He finds Nanami and tells her off.

He declares that to him ( a shrine god's servant), she is most important... Hearing that, Nanami realises that she likes Tomoe very much...

The story contiues from chapter 51...

After You Yi leaves Shen Ye's apartment, Zi Ying tells Shen Ye that a girl came and passed this to him. Zi Ying thinks the girl looked unhappy to see her which makes her wander whether she is Shen Ye's girlfriend and that she has misunderstood her relationship with Shen Ye. Shen Ye is shocked to hear that and immediately calls You Yi to explain. You Yi is relieved to know that it was a misunderstanding. However...

...in tears, You Yi requests to break up with Shen Ye as she is worried that when she is overseas studying, he may feel neglected and stray from the relationship. You Yi has no confidence that Shen Ye will remain faithful. Without explaining her real feelings to Shen Ye, You Yi hangs up the phone after breaking up with him...

Shen Ye goes to You Yi school to look for her after failing to locate her at her home (You Yi moved to her mom's place to hide from Shen Ye). However, Shen Ye is unable to meet You Yi in school as she is hiding again. In anger, Shen Ye tells her classmate to let You Yi know that he refuse to accept her decision.

Ah Yao calls You Yi and asks to meet her. He congratulates her for getting the scholarship to go overseas for her study. Ah Yao takes the opportunity to ask You Yi to explain her decision for leaving Shen Ye. You Yi tells Ah Yao that she is not confident that the relationship will survive the separation. This is especially after seeing Zi Ying at Shen Ye's place. Although now, she knows there is nothing going on between them but that image woke her up to the reality that they will be separated and Shen Ye may be attracted to someone else...

At that moment, Shen Ye, who is hiding in one corner appears. He tells You Yi that if not for Ah Yao, You Yi will not confide this truth to him... He asks You Yi that even if he promises and assures her that he will be faithful to her, will he be able to assure her of her doubts. You Yi remains quiet. Sadly, Shen Ye tells You Yi he will not make things difficult for her and leaves. Ah Yao is shocked at the turn of events...

At home, You Yi asks her mom how she maintains her long distance relationship with dad. Mum replies that both party must want to maintain the relationship. You Yi realises that after breaking up from Shen Ye, she misses him very much. Also, the breakup does not make her more at ease, on the contrary, she is worse. At that moment, Shen Ye calls You Yi...

He tells her to walk towards the city square where she will see a big screen. Ardour's new mtv is ready... Shen Ye's new song is being broadcast. As You Yi listens to the music, she realises that Shen Ye is singing that he will give her everything she wants...

Shen Ye asks her whether she likes his song. You Yi tells Shen Ye over the phone that it is not true that he gives her everything she wants. At that moment, Shen Ye appears in front of You Yi... still talking to her over the phone, he tells her that she wants to break up and he gives in even though it is not what he wants... they hug...

You Yi is still worried that their relationship will be strained with them being apart. Shen Ye assures her that he will not wait for her. Instead, he will go to France to be with her!

That summarises Chapter 52. : ))) Nice chapter. Rather romantic.

Mi Shounen Produce Chapter 12

Kako is in the school compound, thinking about today being Jumon's photoshooting. She is unaware of the commotion in school. Tomoe Senpai is in school...

He approaches Kako and tells her that he has in his hands some past photos of Yagami taken by a certain cameraman. Kako thinks they are some past photos of Yagami when he was unpopular and before his makeover. Kako reaches out to take the photos from Tomoe. Tomoe tells her that he will give the photos back if she goes out on a date with him... Meanwhile, Yagami is waiting for Kako and wondering where she is...

Kako appears, looking distracted....(she is still thinking about Tomoe's request...). Yagami asks why her hair is untied. Suddenly, a handphone goes off. It is not Kako's handphone. Kako tells Yagami to go home on his own and she rushes off. Yagami is confused by her behaviour... Kako rushes off to meet Tomoe to return his handphone to him. He tells her that she needs to put on a uniform for their date... Kako shouts at him and says that she is not going on a date with him...

Tomoe takes Kako to a boutique and buys her new clothes. He tells her that as bribe for the date, she will get back the photos. When Tomoe is not looking, Kako snatches away the envelope containing the photos.
Kako looks into the envelope and finds empty pieces of paper and no photos. Tomoe confesses that he does not have photos of Yagami. He lied to entice her to go out on a date with him...

Meanwhile, back to Yagami. A phone goes off... Yagami realises that the phone is in the bag and it belongs to Kako. Looking at the message, he sees a photo of Tomoe with Kako.

Tomoe commented that Kako has a funny expression. Kako is confused by the whole incident and doesn't know which expression to wear... She thinks she is very common and wonders why Tomoe goes thru so much effort to go on a date with her. Tomoe asks whether she has a perculiar habit of putting herself down. Tomoe thinks that she is someone a person can fall in love with... Talking about being in love, Kako thinks of Yagami....

Tomoe takes off her glasses, lean forwards...

Kako apologises to Tomoe and pushes him away. She wants to leave and will return the clothing back to him. Tomoe asks whether she likes Yagami...

At that moment, Yagami appears and pushes them apart. (...cool!!!)

Tomoe sees the handphone Yagami is holding... He knows Yagami sees the photo of them together. Loudly, he thank Kako for their date and the secret they both share (Tomoe is pointing to the knowlege of her liking Yagami)...
Yagami asks her what secret is Tomoe talking about. Kako blushes...

Yagami pushes her to back against the railing and uses his mouth to retrieve the flower choker she wears around her neck...
Yagami gives her an angry look and tells her not to wear the choker...

Well... looks to me that Kako is aware of her feelings and Yagami is seriously jealous thinking that there is something going on between Tomoe and Kako. : ) The next chapter will be a very interesting chapter.

Yukisaki Koisaki

Read this oneshot by a fairly new mangaka, Kayoru. This book contains 4 oneshots, namely, Yukisaki Koisaki, Yume Koi, Kiken na Kyouikujisshuu, and Himitsu no!? Fuuki linchou.

I will cover the first oneshot: Yukisaki koisaki.

This is a rather typical shoujoish story. Since today I'm in the mood for shoujo stories, this is nice :). For those of you who prefer more depth and bite, you are warned.

Yukihime really likes her childhood friend Dai. She spends most of her childhood days at his grandfather's restaurant so that she can be closed to him.

Now, Dai is a unversity undergraduate and Yuki, 3 years younger than him is in high school. Due to some reasons, Dai's grandfather's restaurant closed down and his family faces financial difficulties. Dai works as a waiter at a restaurant to help make ends meet. Yuki finds herself frequenting the restaurant Dai works.

This day, Yuki catches the attention of several of the patrons at the restaurant. One of them decides to approach her to ask for a date. Dai, upon hearing the comment, discourages the guy and tells him that the restaurant prohibits such behaviour. Dai flashes his charming smile at him. The patron disarmed by his smile, finds himself paralysed into inaction.

Dai chids Yuki for coming into the restaurant at such late hours and getting him into trouble with her dad if he finds out about this...

Meanwhile, back in class, Yuki laments that Dai does not see her as a potential girlfriend but a younger sister who needs his protection. In a fit, Yuki decides to join her classmate for a group date. To her horror, she sees Dai in the group date! Yuki senses that Dai seems upset with her as he ignores her. She notices that Dai's behaviour is different with others and seems very nice to the girls in the group...

During the group date, when Dai steps out for awhile, Yuki is tricked into drinking alcohol. One of the guys takes the opportunity to touch her. Yuki is paralaysed with fear. Dai appears in time to rescue her. Dai chids Yuki for coming to the group date and exposing herself to danger. Yuki, who is also upset that Dai comes for the group date, retorts back that if he can come she can. Dai tells her that he is forced to come. Yuki being angered by the thought that Dai sees her as a younger sister who needs his protection, lashes out at Dai and tells him she does not need his protection and dislike his protection and she is no longer a young child. Dai thinking that she really dislike his presence, tells her he will no longer butt into her affairs and let her have her fun.

Yuki tears thinking that Dai is really leaving her for good. She decides to bake him a batch of cup cakes during Valentine's day and confess her feelings to him.

After his work, Yuki presents her cup cakes and confesses her feelings to him. She tells him that she likes him since they were young children. She has been feeling miserable because he sees her only as a young sister who needs his protection. However, she is willing to be his sister or even daughter only to be with him. She begs him not to hate her and not to leave her alone...

Dai silenced Yuki with a kiss... He asks her to be his girlfriend... Dai confesses that he has liked Yuki since they were young children but he stops himself for confessing as he feels he cannot provide for her yet. However, now he cannot let her go... Dai smiles at Yuki and tells her that her dad will be upset with him.

Feeling neglected as Dai has been working hard at the restaurant, Yuki decides to work part time at the restaurant too. Dai, upset that Yuki is taking up part time job, tells her not to let others at the restaurant know about their relationship. Yuki cannot understand Dai's behaviour and thinks that he is regretting being together with her.

At the restaurant, Yuki breaks plates and makes a mess as she is not used to such work. Dai and another female colleague, Shiki are tasked to help her. Yuki cannot help but notices that Shiki looks so much more mature and suitable to be with Dai.

During break time, Shiki tells Yuki that she notices that Yuki likes Dai, however, she doubts he will like her as she have a young girl's body... Shiki tells Yuki that Dai shares the same dream of working in the kitchen and learning to be a good chef. Yuki is distraught that Dai shares his dream with her. She wonders whether Dai regrets their relationship... Determined to be a girlfriend he is proud of, Yuki works hard at the restaurant to prove her worth. Dai sees her behaviour and cannot help but look on with pride. Shiki sees Dai's expressions...

Feeling threatened, Shiki trips Yuki as she carries plates of food to the patrons. Yuki falls and Dai shields her from a falling wine glass with his body. The glass cuts his face. Shiki sees this and is distressed... Dai being concerned for Yuki asks whether she's hurt. Yuki is more worried for wasting the chef's good food and tells Dai she needs to apologise to the chef for her clumsiness.

Meanwhile, at the rest area, Shiki helps dress Dai's wounds. She takes the opportunity to tell Yuki off for being a nuisance. Dai tells Shiki that she should be the one to apologise to the chef as she's the one who tripped Yuki. He tells her that Yuki is a kind-hearted girl who appreciates the chef's hardwork and that she is his girlfriend whom he is proud of. Shiki storms out upon hearing this.

Yuki tears and tells Dai that she has been feeling like a useless girlfriend as he does not want to acknowledge her as a girlfriend at the workplace. Dai explains that he did that so that he will be able to concentrate at work. He tells her that his dream is really to set a restaurant like his grandfather's as that is the place where they share good memories and thus it is a very important place to him. Moreover, Dai feels that only when he is accomplished will Yuki's dad approve of their relationship. Yuki is touched that Dai has been working hard for her and their future.

On their way back home, Yuki's dad drives past and sees them together. He is incensed and drags Yuki back home. He tells Dai to stop seeing Yuki as he is poor and cannot make her happy.

A few days later, at home, Yuki's dad tells Yuki that he will not let her see Dai again as he has promised Yuki's deceased mum that she will be well-taken care of. Yuki quarrels with her dad... At that moment, Dai enters and presents food he has cooked to Yuki's dad. He tells him that he has been promoted to an apprentice chef at the restaurant and that he is working hard to set up a restaurant like his grandfather's. Dai begs Yuki's father to allow him to date Yuki when he succeeds. Yuki's dad tells him that he is not convinced and that he should leave now. However, Yuki's dad tries his food after Dai has left...

Several days later, Yuki is in her room crying as she misses Dai. Dai appears suddenly and gives her a cake he has baked. He tells her that he loves her and asks her to remember that even if they can't be together for awhile, his feelings for her will not change.

The next day, Yuki wakes up to see that Dai has left her with a letter. In the letter, he tells her that her father has made arrangements to send him to France to further his culinary skills. Dai did not tell Yuki in person as he is afraid that his resolve to leave for further studies will be affected if he sees her cry. He tells her he finds it hard to leave her too. However, he remembers her confession that she will always love him and that gives him the strength to leave for further studies. He asks her to wait for his return...

3 years later, Yuki works part time at the same restaurant where Dai used to work. She sees a magazine article of Dai. She misses Dai and wonders out loud whether he has found a french girl friend...

At that moment, Dai appears... Together, they set up their restaurant and live happily ever after...

A.N.Jell He's Beautiful

Gosh! I'm glad I found time to catch this series! I must confess that at first, I wasn't too impressed. But the story line and characters grow on me. I'm at episode 8 and can't put it down! Love the music (oh so catchy!!!), the many bishies and the reverse harem story line!!!

Story line:

This korean drama series is about the behind-the-scene life of a Korean Pop Band, A.N.Jell. The band was looking for a 4th member to join them. However, at the last minute, the selected member (Mi Nam) suffered an accident and went missing. His twin sister (Mi Nyu) took on his role and disguised as him. This led to many hilarious as well as touching moments.

Each of the male leads are so engaging and hot! Can't decide who to choose for Mi Nam. Doesn't it sound like our typical shoujo manga?! I recommend this series to all shoujo fans!

迷雾中的蝴蝶/Kanojo wa Uso wo Aishisugiteru Chapter 14

Aki sees Riko and Shinya. He considers the consequences if he acknowledges Riko in front of Shinya. Riko will know he is Crude Play's Aki and Shinya will know the nature of his relationship with Riko. He thinks of getting away from the scene before anyone finds out. He wonders whether he can trust Shinya and let him know about his relationship with Riko...

He decides to leave the scene before being found out. As he turns to leave, Shinya sees him and their eyes meet...
Shinya bids farewell to Riko...

Shinya calls Aki. He asks what Aki was doing there. Aki asks Shinya to meet him at his place.

At Aki's place... Shinya lets out a laughter. Aki asks what is so funny... Shinya relates that he has met the girl Takagi san talent-spotted. Shinya says she is like "mushroom"...

Shocked, Aki replied :"Mushroom?" Shinya says Riko's mushroom hair cut reminds him of a mushroom thus he is giving her the nickname mushroom. Quietly, Aki sighs and thinks to himself: "Ditto".

Aki asks how Shinya finds Riko's voice quality...

Shinya describes Riko's voice as having very good quality and she sings with feelings... but not any person can touch her... ~~~is he hinting to Aki to leave her alone?

Aki asks Shinya whether he is writing the songs Riko is singing... ~~~ oooppss! The look Shinya gives Aki speaks volumes...
Riko lies in bed and recalls the exchange she had with Shinya...
She wonders why she shook hands with Shinya without thinking things through carefully. She thinks it must be Shinya's resolve...

Back at Aki's place...Shinya tells Aki that he will be writing Riko's songs. Aki asks for him to play Riko's music but Shinya says something to the effect that playing Riko's debut songs is useless as he does not want to be confined by Crude Play. ~~~~ hmmm face-off time

Shinya details that Crude Play band exists because of Aki's music, and the only person who does not understand that is Aki. Shinya goes on to say that he is straight forward and doesn't like the murkiness of human relationships. He isn't Aki's friend and he didn't enter the music industry to be in Aki's band. He very much prefers to be a soloist, but

Shinya says that he has debut as a member of Crude Play 7 years ago and all along, he thinks and wishes for his own band (where he feels a sense of belonging) as now he feels uncomfortable...

...in the beginning, for Shinya, he did not think of anything outside of Crude Play, but now after discovering Riko, he is shocked that the thought of breaking away from the band excites him. He is disgusted that Takagi would waste such a talent (Riko) on Aki...

Shinya tells Aki he will not give Riko back or reconsider. And Aki:"..but she is my girlfriend, mushroom."

Gosh! So intense! I wonder how Aki will react to this onslaught.
