KinKyori Renai/Close Range Love Vol1

This is another Student-Teacher relationship manga. I wonder why this manga has not received much attention. Anyway, since this is one of my favourite mangas, I'm going to give it some air time. :) Currently, I've 4 vols of the series.

Uni is this brilliant prodigy with little knowledge about love and relationship. She excels in everything from studies to sports. The male lead is her English teacher (I wonder why it is always the English teacher?), Haruka. Most of the girls in school are crazy over him due to his cool exterior and good looks. On the outside, Uni seemed cool and not impressed, but secretly, she thinks Haruka is very handsome. Haruka is captivated by her cool and calm exterior as nothing seemed to faze Uni. He sets out to stir her interest, with some funny and painful (she scratched his face, ouch!) consequences. The first volume ended with both of them together as boyfriend and girlfriend. There were some sweet moments.

Uni is feeling insecure. Haruka assures her that he will not stray from her as she has imprinted her name on him. He belongs to her. > __< (sweet...)

Beads

Last Saturday while having dinner, I chanced upon this bead shop. It was having a closing down sale. Ahhh... how can I resist it. Looked thru all the findings, beads, crystals... What a stash! Before I knew it, I spent more than 1/2 an hour there and came out $60 poorer. They are so lovely. I am excited about the things I can create out of them...

Ardour

Bought the whole series today. 12 volumes altogether. (Click Ardour icon for summary) Although the style of drawings is not my type but the story line is funny and interesting. Having said that, I found the first few volumes rather disorganised at certain juncture.

Albeit, the male lead, Shen Ye, is interesting. Seemingly uncaring and cool (but actually kind and sweet). In fact, the other characters grow on me. The love story is sweet too. I have a soft spot for men who r focused.

Those with the means may want to support the series.

You yi was told (by her father) to be the assistant of the band group, Ardour. Ardour, the current hottest band, consists of 3 great looking guys (I have to use my imagination course the drawings are not so convincing). The story tells of how You yi works with the seemingly uncaring men and to each, she became indispensable, especially to Shen Ye. Shen Ye was from an important and rich Japanese family. His family was dysfunctional. Grandma, is this cold, iron lady who forces her decisions on everyone. His parents were separated due to this. Shen Ye was brought up in such an environment. To him, You yi's loving and giving nature is a breath of fresh air. The rest of the volumes detailed out their relationship and further developments of the characters.

I like Shen Ye and You yi's love story. As the story develops, she realises that his love for her is serious and unwavering (>__<). Sigh... will read it slowly to savour the sweetness.

Highly recommend this to anyone who loves a sweet love story.

BOKU KARA KIMI GA KIENAI Chapt 13 (AIKAWA Saki)

Currently reading Vol 3 of Boku Kara. Waiting for Vol 4. : ) Chapt 13 is quite good. Hotaru finally confessed her love for Kousuke! XD

Yukako dashed out from the forest and told Haruna-Sensei and Hotaru that Kosuke was stabbed by a band of robbers!

Hotaru worried for Kousuke, dashed into the forest not considering her own safety. She found him. He told her to leave as the robbers are still in the vicinity...

Hotaru, overcame with emotions, hugged Kousuke and expressed her relief to be able to see him again...

Still overwhelmed, she expressed her frustration of not being able to be with him alone, Kousuke asked the reason for her wanting to be alone with him (sigh... Kou-kun, u r a cruel man). Blushing, she confessed her love. X D (so sweet...)

Enjoy the kiss.

Well the rest of the chapters in Vol 3 frustrate me. I was hoping I could enjoy their budding romance but Kousuke's ex-girlfriend turned up and cast doubt and confusion. Lots of silly misunderstanding. I wanted to strangle someone. Well let's hope Vol 4 will be better.
